[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Kids love to be creative and bring their ideas to life. Kids, like adults, want to be acknowledged for the hard work they put into a project. And why not have some fun in the process?
Enter: Baketivity’s Bake-Away Championship.
What better way to pass a lazy Sunday than whipping up your own unique baking recipes in the kitchen?
Letting kids in the kitchen means letting go of your clean space, but knowing that they’ll have a blast. When children explore new recipes, it boosts their confidence and helps them build character, and gives them a sense of being a Master Baker in their own kitchen.
So sit back, relax, and let your kids get creative![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”25863″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_custom_heading text=”The Baking Challenge” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Ever wondered what it would be like to enter the Kids Baking Championship? Take the pressure off and get zany, creating your own unique recipes at home.
Cookies, cakes, or desserts- now’s your chance to try them all. The holidays are coming, and it’s time to get baking.
Maybe you have a recipe you like, and you can add your own twist. Or you can call your grandma and ask for the top-secret family recipes. Be bold- take out a bunch of ingredients and mix and pour different combinations until it comes out just right.
The kids bake-away championship is a fun and creative way to engage your kids in the art of baking. Kids can be scared to try new things, but given the space and the right ingredients, they have fun getting messy and mixing things up.
And this time, they have a chance to create the perfect recipe that will be featured in our next Holiday Baketivity Baking Kit, which will be sold throughout the year. The kit will include your child’s unique recipe, and a feature about the Master Baker. The kids baking contest empowers young bakers to dig deep and get creative and put their own spin on traditional recipes.
It also teaches them valuable skills such as critical thinking, working together, and being inquisitive. Recipes use a lot of math and measurements, and it allows kids to learn how to add fractions- to add ¼ teaspoon times 3 if they don’t have a ¾ teaspoon measuring spoon. The kids bake off also gives them the space to ask questions and explore together with you- “Where does food come from? What does sweet and savory mean? Why do different people have different tastes?” Curious minds inquire.
Baking gives the opportunity to investigate what went wrong with a recipe and find ways to fix it the next time.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”23205″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_rounded”][vc_custom_heading text=”The ABC’s of Kid Friendly Baking Recipes” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Okay, so you’re ready to get baking, and you want to come up with some kid friendly baking ideas that can help you win the contest. But healthy competitions actually do the opposite.
Healthy competitions teach important life skills for kids that they can use throughout their lives. Children will learn that they will not win at everything they do, and that’s okay. Not everyone will be a winner, and they might feel disappointment. But they can also take pride in their efforts and the fact that they tried so hard in the first place.
Healthy competition fosters teamwork for kids, and shows them that working together can help them achieve so much more than working alone. For the Baketivity Bake-Away Contest, you don’t have to do it alone! Involve your friends and family and have them help you with testing, videoing, and submitting your recipe.
Competitions are great for motivating kids to try new things, learn new skills and develop their talents.
By participating, children have the chance to improve themselves and learn new techniques. It allows them to ask questions and solve problems. It teaches them that hard work and sticking with it can create a good outcome.
Competitions are exciting for kids and allows them to reach inside themselves and grow. Baking, or trying other new things, develops skills for children not just with the activity they are doing, but becomes a gateway to push forward and try even more new things and to explore their world, and have fun in the process.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Final Thoughts” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]The Baketivity Bake-Away Contest is an excellent opportunity for the eager and curious little hands to get busy and get creative.
