- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cups whole milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
Glaze:
- 1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar
- 2-5 Tbsp. milk
- Yellow food dye (or color of your choice)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and grease a donut pan. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a separate, smaller bowl, whisk together the melted butter and milk. This mixture will look a tad lumpy – don’t worry!
- Whisk in the egg and vanilla to the butter and milk mixture.
- Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry and whisk until the mixture is nice and smooth.
- Scoop the batter into the greased donut pan. Spread the batter evenly into the pan. Fill each mold about ¾ of the way full.
- Bak for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
- Remove the donuts from the pan and allow them to cool on a wire rack.
- To make the glaze, whisk together the confectioner’s sugar and milk 1 Tbsp. at a time until smooth. Add in the food dye.
- Once the donuts have cooled, dip the face up side of each donut down into the glaze. Allow excess glaze to drip back into the bowl.
- While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle on your favorite festive sprinkles.
