Play Patriotic Tic Tac Toe for Memorial Day

Ready to have a berry fun time at your Memorial Day barbecue? Everyone will love teaming up in this patriotic tic-tac-toe race using strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream!

You’ll Need:

• 2 plates
• 5 strawberries
• 5 blueberries
• Can of whipped cream

Set-Up

Draw a tic-tac-toe board on the ground using the can of whipped cream. Select 2 teams to play against each other and have both teams line up behind the board. Place a plate with 5 strawberries in front of one line and a plate with 5 blueberries in front of the other. 

Game Play

The person at the front of each line will pick up one of their berries. Let a spectator be in charge of telling the teams when to place their berries. When the spectator says, “GO”, both players will race to the board and put their berry in the spot they want. Then they will run to the back of their line and the next player in their line can grab a berry and race to the board. This relay race style play can continue until one team has gotten 3-in-a-row. Return the berries to their plates and play best 2 out of 3, each time starting with whoever was next up on each line. 

Clean Up

Wash it all away! When you’re all done, just throw out the larger fruit pieces and wash the rest of the fun away with a hose!
