Want to take advantage of the benefits of blueberries for kids? Dried blueberries are an amazing way to sneak in blueberry benefits in a fun way!

Steps For Drying Blueberries to Perfection

  1. Preheat your oven to 225℉
  2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Place your blueberries on the pan in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle honey over the blueberries for extra flavor and sweetness. Toss them on the pan to ensure they are all fully coated.
  5. Cook the blueberries in the oven for about 2 hours or until they are shriveled. Set a timer to flip them halfway through.
  6. Eat and enjoy! You can also store your dried blueberries in an airtight container in a cool place (shelf-life varies).

How to Use Your Dried Blueberries:

  1. Snack: Eat your berries plain like you would raisins or toss them into a snack mix.
  2. Top: Put them on top of pancakes, salads, or cereal.
  3. Bake: Add these to your batter for baked goods like muffins, scones, and bagels.
  4. Granola: Mix rolled oats, honey, brown sugar, and your dried blueberries to make a homemade granola. Just bake for about 10 minutes at 350 and enjoy in yogurt or as a tasty snack by itself!
  5. Condiments: From blueberry vinaigrette with a little bit of vegetable oil, vinegar, and honey to blueberry butter or cream cheese, you can use your dried blueberries to make all kinds of condiments from savory to sweet!

Dried blueberries are one of the best ways to incorporate the benefits of blueberries for kids into their diets. And with so many fun blueberries kids recipes to make with them, we bet you can’t wait to get started!
