Ready to play? First, gather the items below and set up your game space. Then, challenge your family to a game of charades! Will you be able to guess which items everyone is pretending to recycle?
You’ll Need:
- 3 boxes
- Labels/Markers
- Timer
Setup
Label the 3 boxes as paper, plastic, or other. Then set these up in a line that will be visible to those watching each charade performer.
Game Play
Begin by selecting a family member to go first. Give them a few minutes to think of an item they can recycle.
Then set the timer for 30 seconds as they perform their act. For little kids, try acting in pairs to help guide their performance.
As each family member performs, they should act out 1)using the item, 2)cleaning it out, and 3)putting it in the correct recycling bin. Note: This last part will be a hint about what the item could be!
The charade performer(s) can keep acting until someone guesses their recycled item or the timer stops. Play a few rounds and whoever gets the most of their items guessed correctly wins!
