Aussie Pizza Pops

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Move over ice pops – the coolest pool party in town is sure to be the one with these yummy Aussie Pizza Pops!

 

Ingredients:

8 oz canned pineapple pieces, drained

4 oz shaved ham, finely chopped

2 Tbsp spring onion (shallot), thinly sliced

½ tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 Tbsp pizza sauce

3/4 cup grated mozzarella

Pizza dough, store bought

2 baking trays lined with parchment paper

24 bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Olive Oil Spray

 

Directions:

1. Combine the pineapple, ham and spring onion in a bowl & add seasoning.

2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.

3. Preheat the oven to 350° F.

4. Roll out to a 16inch x 8inch rectangle.

5. Spread with pizza sauce & sprinkle on mozzarella.

6. Top with the pineapple mixture, leaving a 2cm border at the long side.

7. Starting from the other long side, roll up to form a log. Trim ends.

8. Cut into 24 slices, about ½ inch thick. Place slices on 2 lined trays, with room for spreading.

9. Insert soaked bamboo skewers into each slice. Spray with oil.

10. Bake for 14-15 minutes or until golden and crisp. Cool slightly & enjoy!
