Looking for kid-friendly Easter egg recipes? With these 3 easy steps, you can make perfect eggs for fun Easter activities with kids, Easter decorations, or a tasty Easter snack!

Step 1: Prepare Your Eggs in a Pot

Place your eggs in a saucepot with enough water to cover them at least 1”. Ensure they are not crammed too closely together and have enough space to cook.

Step 2: Boil & Cook

Bring the water to a boil. Then cover the pot and let the eggs sit in the boiling water for a full minute. Now, turn off the heat and let the eggs cook for the right amount of time listed below:

Medium Eggs: 9-10 minutes

Large Eggs: 12 minutes

XL Eggs: 15 minutes

Step 3: Cool Down

While the eggs cook, fill a bowl with cold water and ice. When the eggs are done cooking, spoon them into the cold water and let them sit for about 10 minutes to completely cool. This also makes peeling easier!

You’re all done! Time to peel and reveal your perfect hard-boiled eggs!

Bonus Tips: Peeling Like a Pro

Beyond our step-by-step guide to cooking hardboiled eggs, we wanted to share some trusted tips for peeling those pesky shells. Here are a few methods that work wonders!

Method 1: Add ¼ tsp baking soda to your water when cooking the eggs.

Method 2: Tap the eggshell on the counter to make a crack. Then slide a spoon between the shell and the egg. Move the spoon around the whole egg to loosen the shell and easily remove.

Method 3: Search for a natural bubble in the egg and peel from there. Run the egg under cold water as you peel.

Method 4: Put the egg in a container with a little water, and put the lid on. Shake the container until the shell comes off!
